Savant History

In 2006, brothers, Wesley & Ryan Eggebrecht took their passion for art and design to a whole new level and created Savant Wear, a clothing company dedicated to the world of art with roots in the Detroit art scene. The concept around their clothing is that a shirt is just another blank canvas waiting for an artist.

Savant Wear takes pride in providing apparel for young, daring, spontaneous, and some what crazy artists who love the style and the rarity of our clothes. All Savant Wear shirts are done in small quantities making them as rare as a true artistic savant.

Wes and Ry started selling shirts and stickers from the back of their whips at house parties, bonfires, or anywhere peeps were hangin out, chillin, and havin fun. Livin the care free lifestyle that we're all about.

In 2007, Wes designed the first Savant Wear web-site that included a shopping cart, photo gallery, and more. Savant Wear is now available to the world! Whoop! Whoop!

In 2008, Savant Wear began to work on Botobit Volume I, Epidemic, an illustration book featuring 18 different artists from around the world. The book is packed with 115 pages of color illustrations and artist info. Each future volume of Botobit will have a new topic and new artists, so you will always be getting something brand new.

While working on the Botobit book, the brothers came up with an idea for a new line, the Artist Signi. The Artist Signi line is a limited run of shirts designed by select artists outside of the Savant crew. These shirts give artists an opportunity to collaborate with the brothers.

In 2009, Botobit Volume I is released in select stores in the US and was officially unveiled at Noel Night in Detroit, MI and MegaCon in Orlando, Fl.
